Classic color. Classic drive. Classic Porsche.

The power steeringless Super Carrera made me feel like Magnus Walker after every pull of the steering wheel. Putting effort into turning the wheel makes for a classic and aggressive ride. Satisfied, I could only smile when the sight of a turn was visible ahead. Rather than just leaning to the side, I felt a slight tilt backwards as well; the classic Porsche is remarkably ass-heavy increasing the potential for oversteer and fishtailing.

The owner has equipped a sport transmission helping you pop the clutch into the next gear. The pedals coming off the floor surprised me when I needed to push up rather than down with the ball of my foot. And the car was really made to reach higher RPMs before shifting.

The car is gorgeous both inside and out; an extremely vintage vibe. Turning heads with the Guards red paint job, the polished Italian silver rims, and distinct exhaust really makes the driver feel like a badass movie star. There wasn't a pair of eyes around me that weren't focused on scanning the car. Hysterically, the horn reminds you of a bicycle or a circus with its high pitched tone.

Porsche did an outstanding job when manufacturing this 911. As opposed to modern day sports car, the Porsche wouldn't feel right with any more speed or assisting electronics. I'd love to see original seats and other components the legend has lost over the years but driving the personalized 911 SC is a history lesson in itself.
